BBC’s micro:bit is an open source hardware ARM-based embedded system intended primarily for use in computer education. It is a small circuit board with inputs and outputs implemented through some ring connectors that form part of a larger connector (25-pin edge). Microsoft MakeCode is a web based Blocks/JavaScript code editor with simulation capability for programming micro:bit.

This book teaches you the basics of micro:bit programming using Makecode. We will show you how to write Javascript code to accept inputs and manipulate the LED display using different code structures including variables, logical control, and loops.
